I have four miniature poodles, three in full show coat (4 inch long). I groom them all daily, because they run around on our fenced half an acre during the day. I have several slicker brushes collected over the last two years, as you do when trying out equipment. The Kakkadu one is simply the most effective one. It doesn't hurt the dogs' skin, it maintains its shape and gets tangles out much more easily than the other brushes, because it is stronger and more durable. It is also more comfortable and easier to use because of the rounded shape, meaning no corners to bumps my dogs' sensitive skin when I brush up underneath their legs and chest. The long bristles mean I can reach all the tangles down to the skin, which means those tangles don't develop into matting. It is easy to clean with one grab of the hand or swipe of a comb. It has ended up being my go-to out of my slicker brushes, and the main tool I use in my grooming. I highly recommend this brush to all poodle and doodle or oodle owners.
