Description
Preserved Lemons are salty, tangy, one-and-done flavour boosters. They’re lemons ( whole, split, or quartered) packed in salt and brined in their own or additional lemon juice—essentially, pickled lemons. These lemons add a savoury tang, adding a complex depth to your cooking. Think of the difference between regular lemons and preserved lemons like a cucumber and a pickle.
Belazu’s fine-skinned, preserved lemons bring a beautiful fragrance to a wide variety of dishes. The Beldi Lemons are hand sorted and graded for size and quality. They are then hand packed to ensure that the fruit does not bruise and retains its fragrant aroma. In 2012, Beldi’s Preserved Lemons won 3 Great Taste stars from the Guild of Fine Foods, a coveted accolade awarded to fewer than 2 in every 100 entries.
Belazu began when co-founder George brought back an abundance of fresh olives from Provence in 1991. Over 30 years later, the company has become the most trusted pioneer of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern ingredients. They’re always hungry to find what’s new.
